Welcome to the Jacques Lab!

Our research group is based at Western Illinois University and is broadly interested in the study of animal ecology at the individual, population, and community/landscape levels. Our research currently spans much of the Midwestern and Great Lakes regions and has focused largely on conducting projects that integrate ecological theory and applied wildlife conservation and restoration issues. To address wildlife conservation issues, we are strong advocates for designing projects that are collaborative, innovative, and well-grounded in sound scientific methods for solving complex ecological problems. Our current research interests include predator-prey interactions, waterfowl and infectious disease ecology, and population estimation techniques. Feel free to click on the links at the top of the page for additional information about us, ecological questions that interest us, and ongoing projects in our lab.
